Meet Michael — your local pest control specialist

Hi, I’m Michael — the owner and operator of PestAGuard. I look after pest control for homes and businesses across Shell Cove, Shellharbour, Albion Park, Oak Flats, Flinders, Warilla, Lake Illawarra and Kiama.

I’ve spent more than 15 years on the tools. I started PestAGuard because I wanted to offer the kind of service I’d want for my own family — honest pricing, proper diagnosis, and the same person turning up each time. No call centres, no upsells, no different tech every visit.

I live in the area and my customers are my neighbours. When I treat your home, I treat it like it’s my own.

What I do

I handle the full range of residential and commercial pest control — cockroaches, rats and mice, ants, spiders, wasps, fleas, silverfish and possums. One thing I don’t do: termite inspections or treatments — if you suspect termites, I’ll point you toward a trusted local specialist. I use APVMA-approved products only, and I’ll always walk you through what I’m applying and why.

A lot of pest problems come with a repair — broken weep-hole mesh, rotting timber, gaps under doors. I also run The Handy Guy on the side, so if you need the cause fixed as well as the pest treated, you only need one call.
